Rebecca Atwood Pillow | Smoke Triangle Shibori
Brooklyn-based artist Rebecca Atwood blends traditional textile techniques and painting to create pieces that are at once simple yet luxurious. The linen for this 12" x 16" boudoir pillow was naturally dyed with iron and chestnuts using a modified version of a traditional Japanese shibori technique, in which the fabric is folded into triangles before dyeing. The reverse features a silver metallic linen and an appliquéd stripe of the front fabric. The pillow comes with Atwood's signature exposed brass zipper, as well as a 25/75 down feather insert. Each piece is unique and variations in color are intentional, and should not be considered a defect.
