xNasozi Pillow | Bogolan Mudcloth
Nasozi Kakembo of Brooklyn-based xNasozi has created a versatile home collection that integrates the indigenous textile traditions of Africa—mudcloth, Dutch and African wax prints, West African indigo, and other African fabrics—with a contemporary aesthetic. The mudcloth used to make this 16" x 24" pillow is originally from Mali, West Africa, where highly skilled artisans paint and design the handwoven mudcloth with organic dyes and fixatives. The fabric is handmade, hence no two pillows are exactly the same. Backed in grey linen, this pillow features an envelope closure. Insert included.
